Nicaragua (Managua): There is enough potato production to supply markets

Potato cultivation represents a significant source of income and contributes to the country’s food security.

This tuber is widely consumed by Nicaraguan families, thanks to its nutritional value, culinary versatility, and roots in traditional cuisine.

It is grown mainly in the municipalities of La Concordia, Estelí, Jinotega, San Rafael del Norte, Condega and Tuma-La Dalia.
