Argentina (C.N.Otamendi): PepsiCo brought together key representatives of the potato industry at its Demo Farm 2025
For the first time in history, PepsiCo brought together leading industry leaders to share advances in technology, efficiency, and sustainability.

Buenos Aires, April 2025 – On April 8, PepsiCo Argentina held a new edition of Demo Farm, its annual meeting on good agricultural practices. From the Potato Park in Comandante Nicanor Otamendi, this edition marked a turning point in the industry, with the participation of McCain, Simplot, and Lamb Weston. For the first time, the leading companies in the sector gathered in a single space, consolidating a historic milestone and a key meeting point for collaboration in the region.
The event brought together 170 attendees, including agricultural producers, technicians, executives, and strategic partners from PepsiCo Argentina and Latin America. Throughout the event, knowledge, experiences, and innovative solutions were shared to promote more sustainable and efficient production.
Through various stands and presentations, attendees were able to learn firsthand about the latest trends and advances in agriculture. Among the main topics covered were:
Regenerative Agriculture
Digitalization and technology
Water use efficiency
Drone spraying
Reducing CO2 footprint
Fertilization and biostimulation
In addition, technology, machinery, and service providers participated in the event, showcasing the latest innovations to boost potato production for the snack industry.

PepsiCo and its commitment to regenerative agriculture:
PepsiCo purchases an average of 55,000 tons of potatoes annually in Argentina, 90% of which come from Balcarce, Otamendi, and Tandil. It also purchases 5,000 tons of oats and 4,000 tons of corn, consolidating its commitment to local production.
The company is promoting PepsiCo Positive (pep+), its sustainability strategy that seeks to transform its value chain from start to finish. Through its Positive Agriculture program, PepsiCo is working to reduce its carbon footprint, improve water efficiency, and promote regenerative practices throughout its supplier network.
