Peru: Native potato production strengthened in six provinces of Huánuco
Since its inception in early 2024, the project has provided more than 10,000 technical assistance sessions and developed 730 training sessions, obtaining positive results in production.

With an investment of S/37,729,753.33, the Papa Nativa project of the Huánuco Regional Directorate of Agriculture benefits producers in the provinces of Yarowilca, Dos de Mayo, Ambo, Huánuco, Pachitea and Huamalíes, achieving significant improvements in the productivity and competitiveness of the crop.
Since its inception in early 2024, the project has provided more than 10,000 technical assistance sessions and developed 730 training sessions, obtaining positive results in production.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen the technical and business competitiveness of the native potato production chain, benefiting 4,616 families from 139 localities, distributed in 37 districts and 6 provinces of the Huánuco region.
