"All regions had an excellent harvest this year, so right now there is a lot of supply of potatoes of all colors, more than last year," says Tom Bulgrin of Gumz Farms.
"The Potato Manual – Crop of the Future," an updated 2025 edition, is now available in the country in Spanish. It stands as one of the most complete and comprehensive technical works ever published on this tuber.
INTA representatives emphasized that the results will provide a solid epidemiological basis, essential for refining and validating diagnostic methodologies.
Farmers are postponing the harvest that would yield almost 30 million kilos, hoping that the waterlogged soil will dry out.

In 2024, demand for fresh potatoes fell by 2.8% compared to 2023 and was 11% below the average of the last five years. In 2025, during the period from January to July, demand declined by 1%.
