Alemania: Germany European market leader potatoes
With a production value of 53.3 billion Euro Germany is now second-largest agricultural producer in the EU after France. In the previous years the German agriculture was able to expand its position to main agricultural producers for the 27 EU Member
According to the Rheinische Agricultural Association (RLV) the German farmers are on average in the top three producers for nine agricultural products between 2011 and 2013. In three categories of agricultural products Germany even took first place, in the case of milk, pork and potatoes.With a share of 19% of the EU production in potatoes Germany reached the first place.
