Brazil (Potato Route 2026): Vargem Grande do Sul will be the setting for the first major technical meeting of the year.

ABBIN, in collaboration with Gowan Brazil, invites producers and professionals in the sector to an immersion in the technology, market and health of the potato crop on March 26.

The Brazilian potato industry begins 2026 with a firm commitment to innovation. The board of directors of ABBIN, the Brazilian Association of Fresh Potatoes, reinforcing its leadership and promoting the sector, is pleased to announce the first regional event of the year: the Potato Route – Vargem Grande do Sul (SP) Edition.

The meeting, which will take place on March 26 at Espaço Varanda, in one of the state’s main production centers, promises to be a point of convergence between academic research, economic analysis and practical experience in the sector.

Uniting research and the market

The main difference in this edition lies in the composition of its roundtable. The Potato Route will feature researchers from Embrapa and analysts from CEPEA, offering producers a comprehensive view of their business.

"Our goal is to provide quality information so that potato farmers can make decisions based on data and the latest management technologies," emphasizes the ABBIN board of directors.

What can we expect from the event?

The program was designed to address the real-world challenges of daily farming and budget management. The main thematic areas will be:

Health and disease control: Technical debates on efficient management and new phytosanitary pressures that challenge productivity.

Economic scenario and trends: A detailed analysis of the national and international market that helps to understand price and demand fluctuations.

Innovation and new solutions: Presentation of state-of-the-art tools and supplies developed by Gowan Brazil to optimize the harvest.

Opportunities to establish valuable contacts: The event will be a space for exchange between producers, consultants, researchers and the industry, strengthening the sector’s network of contacts.

Why participate?

In an increasingly competitive and dynamic market, access to advance information is key to a successful harvest. The Potato Route is not just a day of conferences, but a strategic training environment for those seeking high yields and economic sustainability.
