Perú: Peruvian potato to be the star of APEC Peru 2016 Gala Dinner
The Peruvian native potato will be the star of the Gala Dinner to be prepared for Leaders and senior officials from the 21 APEC member economies in Lima, Peru.

According to Peru’s second Vice-President Mercedes Araoz, the APEC Economic Week’s closing ceremony will be a good opportunity for guests to learn more about this product cultivated in the Inca country since ancient times.
In fact, potato offers great nutritious benefits and is considered one of the most consumed products around the world.
Araoz also mentioned that asparagus, Peruvian "premium" exports product, will have a leading role during the dinner.
She also informed that fruits such as cherimoya, lucuma or camu camu will be included in desserts.
The event will be held at Lima’s Circuito Mágico del Agua (Magic Water Circuit) Sunday 20 November.
