Alemania: Potato supply increases
The supply of new potatoes has grown further. The harvest progressed quickly with the dry weather, mostly the varieties Annabelle and Berber.
Due to the hot summer weather the demand decreased somewhat. Both factors forced the traders to reduce the prices. The start of the holiday season made matters worse in Cologne.
The Italian potatoes were at a minimal level and came mostly from stock. The prices were on the same level as the German potatoes. The stored potatoes from earlier harvests were almost completely sold out.More information: Speisekartoffeln KW 24/2015Source: BLE
