Bielorrusia: Potato harvest expected to be higher than last year
This year’s potato harvest in Misk is expected to exceed that of last year, as was announced during a press conference with the minister of agriculture and food, Leonid Zaits.
“In terms of potatoes, we intend to harvest no less than last year’s amount of 1.1 million tons. This year, I think the harvest will be even higher,” said the minister on August 5.
According to him, today there is no reason to believe that there will be a shortage of potatoes, sugar beets or other such crops.
