Alemania: Slower sales due to temperatures and holidays
The holidays caused a quiet sales situation. Furthermore, the high temperatures slowed down the rate of turnover. Even when rain sporadically reduced the harvest, the supply generally surpassed the quantities sold. Surpluses often formed.
The restrained requirements initiated a reduction in demand everywhere, at least at the lower limits of the price ranges. The share of small quotations rose. Large calibres were a scarce commodity, which frequently enabled prices to remain at a stable level. Selectively imported Dutch, floury Victoria potatoes register ample interest.
