Francia: Some Belgian farmers illegally growing their potatoes in France
I n Belgium, farmers are running out of space to grow potatoes, so they have been going to France and sub-renting plots of agricultural land.
In the Hauts-de-France region, 80% of the farmers sublet their land. They can make up to 1,500 euros [1,688 USD] by having Belgians work their land, a practice which is, however, prohibited by law.
