Brazil: The potato harvest is taking place in all regions, and prices show little variation.
Minas Gerais and Paraná report problems with potato quality

This week (04/28 to 05/02), the price of Ágata special potatoes averaged R$95/25 kg bag in wholesale in São Paulo (SP) (-4%) and remained stable at R$87/bag in Belo Horizonte/MG and R$91/bag in Rio de Janeiro/RJ.
The small variation is due to supply, which has not changed compared to last week, despite the harvest already being underway in all producing regions due to stable weather.
According to collaborators from Hortifrúti/Cepea, the quality of potatoes from the Cerrado and South of Minas Gerais regions is below expectations, and the reason continues to be the intense heat between February and March and the lack of rain that harms the development of these tubers, also resulting in smaller-sized potatoes.
In Guarapuava (PR), the appearance of pinworms also ended up affecting the quality. Although the potatoes offered are of inferior quality, the best ones fetch higher prices.
