Brazil: Frost affects most of the country’s potato-producing regions.

Between dawn and the morning of Wednesday, June 25, frost was recorded in most of Brazil’s potato-producing regions, according to producers and technicians consulted by Hortifruti Brasil. The exceptions were Cristalina (GO) and Chapada Diamantina (BA). In some regions, frost was slightly more intense, especially in the south of the country. Damage to the crop will depend on the intensity of the frost and the stage of the crop cycle. An estimate of potential losses will not be possible until later this week or early next week.
