Spain (Xinzo de Limia): The city of Ourense will host the traditional Potato Fair

The potato continues to gain strength and importance in Galician agriculture, although it faces numerous challenges to ensure its profitability. In this context, the sixth edition of Alimagro, the Limia Agricultural Fair, will once again be the showcase for the agricultural sector in Xinzo de Limia.

This new edition will be held from Friday, September 5th to Sunday, September 7th, and its program includes the Potato Fair and the Machinery Fair, a major exhibition featuring the latest innovations on the market.

On Thursday, September 4th, the fair will feature a prologue focused on potato production and marketing. This is the third Potato Technical Conference, organized by Campo Magazine, and will focus on plant health, fertilization efficiency, and the quality and quantity of irrigation water.

Recognized as one of the ten main trade fairs in the sector in Spain, Alimagro is an initiative organized by the Xinzo de Limia City Council, consolidating its position as a national benchmark in its field.

Where is it celebrated?

The Potato Fair is being held at the local sports center, where numerous exhibitors will gather. Among them will be some of the most prominent companies in the potato sector, both regional and national, who will showcase their latest innovations, products, and agricultural techniques.

Meanwhile, the Machinery Fair will surround Toural Park and extend along Dous de Maio Street. Machinery companies will present a representation of the leading brands, showcasing the latest innovations focused on agriculture.

Once again, Alimagro’s status as an agricultural benchmark in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula is confirmed.
