Bolivia (Incahuasi): Fertilizers and bio-inputs delivered to improve potato production
The Ministry of Rural Development and Lands (MDRyT) delivered two tons of organic fertilizers and agricultural bioinputs this Tuesday to improve potato productivity and production in the municipality of Incahuasi, Chuquisaca.

The delivery is the result of a partnership between the Executive Unit for Support to Agricultural Production in the Face of Climate Change (Aprocam) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The objective of this initiative is to improve potato crop yields and soil quality, with a climate-resilient approach.
Aprocam’s national coordinator, Nancy Tarqui, explained that the delivery required an investment of Bs 1 million, financed by IFAD and executed by the Ministry of Transportation and Transportation (MDRyT).
The project will benefit 256 potato-producing families in Incahuasi. This initiative is expected to increase farmers’ production by 20% per hectare.
Beneficiaries will also receive a Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) manual and technical assistance in applying the inputs.
