Technical Information: Inicium organic, the biological and organic tool to enhance the establishment of potato cultivation
Inicium organic (Brometan) is an organic biostimulant designed to promote the initial development of the crop by stimulating the physiological processes of the plant and improving the interaction between the roots and the soil.
It has 2 effects , the first is direct, allowing the seedling to have energy quickly available for immediate use through its high content of L-α-amino acids, the second is to direct the soil microbiota to help the plant, this is achieved with its high content of specific MO to promote the development of PGPR bacteria.
The technical recommendation consists of applying it to the bottom of the furrow during planting, at a dose of 1-2 liters per hectare, allowing the product to act from the first moment on the seed and the rhizosphere.
According to Agricultural Engineer Carlos Tajan, the main objective of this strategy is "to achieve a more uniform emergence and rapid establishment of the crop , favoring greater root development from the early stages, a fundamental condition to express the productive potential of each plot."
The professional points out that a vigorous root system allows for greater exploration of the soil profile, increasing the efficiency of water and nutrient absorption , especially during the first weeks of cultivation, when much of the potential yield is defined.
For his part, Agricultural Engineer Ignacio Álvarez points out that "Inicium Organic represents a complementary tool within modern agronomic management. Its application to the bottom of the furrow allows for the creation of a more biologically active environment around the seed tuber, promoting rapid initial development and better crop tolerance to abiotic stress situations."
The use of biostimulants during planting is a growing trend in potato production, where the physiological efficiency of plants from their earliest stages is becoming increasingly important.
