EEUU: Idaho’s 2020 potato crop prognosis and COVID-19 impacts
At the start of the year, the outlook for the Idaho potato season was very promising. Unfortunately, in the middle of March, with the impact of the Corona virus becoming apparent in the US and globally, everything changed.
At first it looked like it would be a good marketing year, but the pandemic put an end to all of this.
Potatonewstoday.com featured a Youtube video, produced by Bill Schaefer in Idaho, in which the owners and managers of four prominent Idaho potato operations discuss the economic impact of Covid-19 on the fresh market sector, the process market sector and the seed potato sector for 2020.
