McCain Foods has announced plans to expand its production plant in Araxá, Minas Gerais, with an estimated investment of R$1.8 billion (US$317 million), which represents the company’s largest investment in the region to date.

The activity was organized by the Agricultural Research Institute (INIA) with the support of the Foundation for Agricultural Innovation (FIA), the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC) and the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG).
